And the raven said to the man...
Nǃhṹnũ̂ɮ is a constructed language I created in January 2020. While it is not as fleshed out as other conlangs of mine, it's still unique among them, at least in my opinion.
The language, also known as Gǂéẽˤh features a relatively large consonant and click inventory, and is inspired by the Khoisan languages of southern Africa; phonologically it is also rather exceptional in that it has phonemic voiceless vowels. The language is a rather analytic languages, with few bound morphemes and a low morpheme-per-word ratio. Grammatical relations are marked according to a hierarchical split-ergative alignment; furthermore Nǃhṹnũ̂ɮ uses classifiers with quantifiers and numerals, and features an extensive set of ideophones inflecting for aktionsart.
I haven't worked on this language for a long time, and I've decided to go on an indefinitely long hiatus — not with respect to conlanging in general, but only regarding Gǂéẽˤh. Since my documentation skills were quite lacking at the time, most of its grammar has faded into the abyss of forgotten memories. But nevertheless, if I ever decide to work on it again, I will probably just try to reconstruct its grammar from the pile of example sentences I have saved in my files, as well as on my reddit account. If you want to take a look at its incomplete grammar sketch, contact me and I'll send you a pdf!
